Scope
The Danish Property and Building Agency is behind Odense’s new office hub with load-bearing constructions in wood and a goal of gathering a series of state institutions under the same roof. The Turnkey contractor on the project is NCC supported by engineers from Artelia. The project has been designed by C.F. Møller Architects.
WoodHub is an office building comprising 31,000 square meters, six floors in height and with space for 1,600 workplaces at the address Lerchesgade 35 in Odense. Eight state institutions will occupy the building at the beginning of 2025 if all goes to plan.
Construction period
The construction period runs from 2022 to 2025. The first thing that NCC will commence is preparing the building site and the demolition of the former tax building. At the same time, a construction site and sheds will be established.
In the summer of 2022, WoodHub will break ground. This will take place with the establishment of a construction pit and the construction of the parking basement. The first solid wood columns, CLT deck and wooden cassettes are expected to arrive at the site at the start of 2023.
